Accor Hotels/Unite Union Agree To Living Wage For All Staff
Accor hotels and Unite have come to the agreement to have wages start at living wage ($22.75) Accor Hotels now being the first nationwide brand to do pay all staff living wages.
Fred A – this will put all other hospitality groups under pressure to follow the Accor example.

10,000 allied health workers vote to strike in May
With an overwhelming vote for strike action, 10,000 health care workers will be walking off the job between May 9 and 20, with a 24 hours strike taking place on the 16th of May. This comes over a year and a half of bargaining.
