International industrial relations and negotiating expert. He has designed, one-off, negotiating strategies for a range of large multi-national and local companies. He has worked as a negotiator, advisor and coach to executives throughout Australasia, Europe, North America and Africa for clients as diverse as BP, Rio Tinto, Exxon Mobile, Unilever, Anglo American Mining, James Hardie, McDonalds, Levi Strauss and Air New Zealand.


With a degree in Psychology and 30 years’ hard-core negotiating experience, he can quickly simplify complex and competing negotiating interest into a workable commercial strategy and action plan. As a negotiation thought leader, Fred prioritises staying ahead of current industrial relations, union and negotiating trends globally, for the purpose of developing new and improved IR streams for Australia and New Zealand.


His consultancy has developed and presents an internationally recognised industrial relations and negotiations coaching programme for executives, which demystifies agreement negotiations and union activity for business leaders.
